In the heart of Houston’s industrial landscape, the title “Machinery Maven” wasn’t handed down. It was earned, even if it is self-proclaimed. It comes with fourteen years of supporting a job shop in Arkansas, eight years of rising through the ranks and finally steering Gates Machine Tool Repair, Inc. as General Manager, and countless hours getting my hands (and clothes!) dirty on shop floors and inside conference rooms. A whole lot of grit built the reputation I carry today, and my maverick approach (combining relentless work ethic, sharp streetwise agility, and a knack for communicating with precision) fueled my rise in the manufacturing world.
But the Machinery Maven doesn’t just sweat under fluorescent lights. I speak on resilience and business continuity at international summits, sharing frontline lessons I've learned both in manufacturing and oil & gas (yes, there's a whole other career trajectory to discuss on a separate page). My voice echoes across LinkedIn and industry podcasts, forging connections, shaping culture, and setting the pace for a new era of operational leadership with a human touch.
Through early morning workouts and daily learning, I live the principle that continuity, both in machines and in life, is about staying prepared and staying sharp. The Machinery Maven brand is more than skill; it’s about resilience, grit, and the drive to outlast whatever comes next. Whether I’m supporting the teardown of a Dainichi gearbox (yes, I have!), guiding a team through crisis response, or delivering a keynote on smart manufacturing, I stand for one thing: mastery forged in the grind.
Share my journey, connect with my story, and see why being The Machinery Maven is more than a name. It’s a promise. It's who I am.
